Limitation on the number of vessels anchored off the Island of Lerins in Cannes - Authorities in Cannes have called for a limitation on the number vessels anchored between Saint Honorat and Sainte Marguerite on the islands of Lerins. Several hundred boats anchor each season causing an environmental problem for the region. Cannes which is currently seeking a UNESCO ranking for the area says a limitation is necessary.
