14-year-old boy injured at a drug dealing point in Aix-en-Provence - A 14-year-old boy has been injured during a pellet shooting at a drug dealing point in Aix-en-Provence. The incident occurred at around 7:30pm on Thursday in the Encagnane district, at the foot of a building on Boulevard du Maréchal Juin. The victim was taken to the Pays d’Aix Hospital Centre where his condition is stable. According to witnesses on site, a small deal point was set up at the foot of the building. Several residents have expressed their desire to leave the neighbourhood due to the increase in drug dealing. Built in the 1960s more than 4,000 people live in the neighbourhood. A rehabilitation project is underway with the planned demolition of 254 social housing units and the construction of 424 new housing units.
