500 premature deaths in Nice due to air pollution – Environmental activists’ and members of the “Collectif citoyen 06” have interrupted a city council meeting in Nice this morning demanding an explanation from the Mayor Christian Estrosi on the policy for air pollution and global warming in the region. The “apolitical citizens” reportedly claimed there was no policy and called for action. Figures show that there are 500 premature deaths in Nice per year due to air pollution.
