A young man has been shot dead in Marseille. The shooting took place on Sunday evening in the north of the city and an investigation has been opened. It has not been confirmed as being linked to drug trafficking. The 17-year-old victim was not known to police. Marseille experienced a bloody year in 2023 with 49 homicides linked to drug trafficking.
