The announcement initially caused concern among residents of Nice and the wider Côte d’Azur, given the importance of the busy domestic route.

However, Transavia, part of the Air France-KLM group, has confirmed it will maintain daily rotations between the two cities.

Details of the transition and what passengers can expect were outlined at a press conference on Wednesday.

The move marks a significant shift, with the route transferring from the group’s full-service carrier to its low-cost arm.
