The 55-year-old, best known as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, plays Amanda the Spider, a “sharp-witted, sarcastic” character in the family adventure.

The film follows Mabel, voiced by Piper Curda, who uses secret technology to transform herself into an animal.

Speaking ahead of the UK premiere in Leicester Square, Holden said being part of a Disney and Pixar production was “absolutely extraordinary” and something she “never thought would happen”.

She stars alongside friend Alan Carr, who voices a squirrel.

Hoppers is released in UK cinemas on 6 March.
