In a statement to People, the singer's representative said Grande plans to "take a step back from visibility" once the tour concludes in London on 1 September, allowing her to finish "healthily and happily" before taking a "much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances."
The announcement comes just days after the release of Grande's new album Petal and its title-track music video, which addresses criticism surrounding her appearance and public image.
The singer has faced increasing speculation about her health and body in recent years and has previously urged people not to comment on her appearance.
As part of her break, Grande has also withdrawn from the upcoming London revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George, in which she had been due to star alongside her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.
Production company Empire Street Productions confirmed the musical will still open at the Barbican in summer 2027 and said it fully supports Grande's decision.
A replacement has not yet been announced.
Grande's representative said the singer has loved every moment of the Eternal Sunshine Tour, describing it as "a beautiful experience," while adding that the demanding performances require a high level of physical fitness.
Following the tour, Grande is expected to focus on time away from the public eye before returning to acting later this year in Focker-in-Law, the latest instalment of the Meet the Parents film series.
