The Bafta-winning sci-fi anthology, which first aired on Channel 4 in 2011 before moving to Netflix in 2015, explores the darker side of technology and its impact on modern society through dystopian, cautionary tales.

Brooker described his creative process as akin to assembling an album, mixing different tones and styles across episodes, from “punk singles” to heartfelt ballads like San Junipero.

The show received its first Golden Globe nominations in December 2025, a recognition Brooker called a “pleasant surprise and an honour.”

While no plot details for the new season have been revealed, fans can expect the series’ signature blend of unsettling social commentary and imaginative storytelling to continue.
