Bridges in the region - After the collapse of a suspension bridge near Toulouse, in which two people died. Local authorities have investigated the state of engineering structures in the Alpes-Maritimes claiming that out of the 2,200 bridges, 20 require emergency work. Structures are numbered 1 to 3 on a danger level with 3 proving the most dangerous. Following a report there are eight bridges in the region classified as “3U”.
