Céline Dion makes rare public appearance in Paris ahead of comeback shows
Céline Dion has made a rare public appearance in Paris, just weeks before she is due to return to the stage for a series of highly anticipated concerts.
The 58-year-old singer was seen greeting fans and photographers outside her Paris hotel on Friday 28 August, in her first public appearance of the year.

Dion arrived wearing a beige trench coat and oversized sunglasses, stopping to wave and acknowledge fans who had gathered to see her.
Her appearance comes ahead of a major return to performing, with a five-week Paris residency beginning on 12 September.
The concerts will mark her first time back on stage since her performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics in 2024.
Dion announced the residency on her birthday in March, describing the opportunity to perform for her fans again as “the best birthday gift of my life”.
Demand for tickets was so high that a second series of concerts has already been added for May 2027.
The singer, who revealed her diagnosis with stiff person syndrome in 2022, has spoken openly about the extensive work involved in preparing to perform again.
Her preparations have included rehabilitation, vocal therapy and a demanding training programme incorporating Pilates and ballet.
Speaking ahead of her return, Dion said she wanted the shows to demonstrate how much she had missed her fans, adding that she feels “strong” and excited to be performing again.
