Monaco’s popular Condamine Market has returned to its traditional home at Place d’Armes after spending three weeks at the Espace Léo Ferré during the Formula 1 Grand Prix period.

The market reopened in its usual location on Wednesday 17 June, much to the delight of both traders and regular customers, who say the return has brought back the atmosphere that makes the market such a special part of daily life in the Principality.
While merchants praised the temporary facilities at Espace Léo Ferré, many admitted that Place d’Armes offers something unique.
Several traders reported that visitor numbers were lower than usual during the relocation, despite the practical advantages of the temporary site, including easier deliveries and modern facilities.
The move was organised by Monaco City Hall to allow the market to continue operating during one of the busiest periods of the year.
Municipal teams were responsible for transferring the entire market infrastructure to Espace Léo Ferré before reinstalling it at Place d’Armes once the Grand Prix had ended.
