Covid cases, a slight rebound - The Covid-19 epidemic has started to rebound in France in recent days with a resumption of contaminations. France’s government spokeswoman Olivia Grégoire indicated, on Wednesday at the Council of Ministers, that "a slight reversal of the trend" had been observed with an increase in the number of daily cases. In the Alpes-Maritimes, the curve reversed at the very end of May, after almost two months of continuous decline. In the space of a week, the incidence rate – which had dropped below 200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants – increased by almost 50 points. On the scale of a department like the Alpes-Maritimes, which exceeds one million inhabitants, this represents around 400 new daily cases. The good news is that this slight epidemic recovery has so far had no effect on hospital services. The number of "Covid patients" treated in hospitals in the Alpes-Maritimes continues to decline. According to the latest figures from Public Health France, there were 259 this Thursday, June 8 (-10 in one week, -165 in one month). Among them, six are considered serious enough to be placed in "intensive care".
