Between July and September, 99 ships called at the Principality, up from 84 the year before, while passenger numbers jumped nearly 30% to over 70,000.

Monaco continues to favour smaller, high-end vessels, even as cruise traffic across the Mediterranean grows.

The figures underline the Principality’s appeal to luxury cruise lines, with new operators, such as Explora Journeys, making a notable debut.

While passenger numbers rose sharply, day visitors still tend to spend less than overnight guests, meaning the economic impact is more nuanced than the headline figures suggest.
