The Dutchman posted a best lap of 1:26.664, finishing ahead of team-mate Edoardo Mortara to complete a Mahindra one-two.

Earlier in the session, red flags were brought out after Zane Maloney crashed at Massenet for the Lola Yamaha ABT Formula E Team.

The Barbadian driver climbed out of the car unaided before marshals removed the stricken machine.

The session resumed with 14 minutes remaining as teams completed preparations ahead of qualifying.
