According to Italian news agency Adnkronos, negotiations are already at an advanced stage, although neither Rai nor festival organisers have officially confirmed Dua Lipa’s involvement.
If an agreement is reached, she would reportedly take on a bigger role than that of a traditional international guest, potentially co-hosting one of the festival’s major nights.
The 2027 Sanremo Festival will take place at the Ariston Theatre from 16 to 20 February.

It would not be Dua Lipa’s first appearance at Sanremo.
The British-Albanian singer performed Don’t Start Now at the festival in 2020, during the first edition hosted by Amadeus.
It is not yet known which evening she could appear on in 2027.
Reports suggest the opening night and final are among the possibilities, while another option could be the night connected to the selection of Italy’s Eurovision representative.
Dua Lipa currently has no live performances scheduled during the festival dates.
Several other names have also been linked to Stefano De Martino’s first Sanremo, including Italian television presenter Maria De Filippi and comedian Brenda Lodigiani.
For now, however, the possible appearances remain unconfirmed as preparations continue ahead of the festival next February.
