Earth temors felt in the Alpes Maritimes

Earthquakes – Several earthquakes have shaken the Alpes-Maritimes region inland. The initial quake, with a magnitude of 3.1 and a depth of four kilometres, was recorded at 6.24pm on Tuesday in La Brigue. The main tremor was followed by five aftershocks throughout the night. The most significant aftershock occurred at 3:09 a.m. on Wednesday, registering a magnitude of 2.6. No damage has been reported so far. Residents who felt the tremors are encouraged to submit their experiences to the French Central Seismological Bureau, which collects public testimony after such events.
