Elderly man kills 83-year-old woman in care home - An 88-year-old man has killed an 83-year-old woman. Both were residents in an old people’s home in Frejus in the Var. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the rest room of “les Rives d’Estérel”. Police investigating were able to use footage from video surveillance cameras in the care home.

According to reports the man suffering from dementia, had suffocated the woman with a cloth. The 88-year-old had been admitted to the nursing home for 15 days with his wife. He has since been placed in a psychiatric hospital.
