Entries open for Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation photography award
Entries have opened for the 2027 Environmental Photography Award, organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation with the support of EFG Private Banking.
Professional and amateur photographers can enter the international competition free of charge until 1 November, with prizes including €6,000 and a trip to Monaco for the overall winner.

Created in 2021 as part of the Foundation’s Green Shift Initiative, the award uses photography to highlight environmental issues and stories about the relationship between people and nature.
Photographers can submit work across five categories: Ocean, Forests, Polar Regions, Change Makers and Humanity versus Nature.
Each category winner will receive €1,000, with one of the five then selected for the Grand Prize and awarded an additional €5,000 as well as a trip to Monaco to attend the opening of the exhibition.
A Public Award and High School Students’ Award, each worth €500, will also be presented.
A total of 36 photographs will make up the official selection, with the winners due to be announced at the end of April 2027.
The selected photographs will be exhibited in Monaco during summer 2027 before travelling internationally, while a book bringing together the images and accompanying stories will also be published.
This year’s jury will once again be chaired by conservation and wildlife photographer Jasper Doest, alongside photography professionals including National Geographic Magazine Editor in Chief, Photography Anne Farrar and photographers Angel Fitor, Britta Jaschinski, Florian Ledoux, Randy Olson and Christian Ziegler.
Entries can be submitted through the Environmental Photography Award website until Sunday 1 November 2026.
