Although EES registration targets were increased to cover 35% of travellers from January 9, French authorities have yet to approve a wider deployment of the system.
As a result, the system has not been fully introduced at major crossing points including Eurostar services, Eurotunnel or the port of Dover.
Most passengers are therefore still not being routinely processed through EES kiosks, with the broader rollout remaining on hold for now.
