Bulgarian singer Dara Nikolaeva Yotova won the competition with a performance that ultimately beat strong competition from Israel in a closely fought contest.

The win marks a major achievement for Bulgaria in the annual music competition, with fans celebrating the country’s first major Eurovision triumph in years.

At the other end of the table, the United Kingdom finished in last place with just one point, despite a performance by UK entry Look Mum No Computer, who narrowly avoided receiving nul points.

The final in Vienna featured shifting vote totals throughout the night, keeping the result uncertain until the very end, before Bulgaria was finally confirmed as the winner.
