The actress, producer and longtime L’Oréal Paris ambassador quickly drew attention upon checking into the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, where photographers captured one particularly eye-catching detail of her look: an exceptionally rare Patek Philippe Nautilus watch.
A collector’s watch steals the spotlight
Dressed in an elegant cream Max Mara outfit paired with Jacquemus accessories, Eva Longoria completed her look with a yellow gold Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800/1J - one of the most sought-after luxury watches in the world.
Originally introduced in the early 1980s, the iconic Nautilus model is considered a grail piece among collectors.
Designed by legendary watch designer Gérald Genta, the Nautilus became famous for revolutionising luxury sports watches with its porthole-inspired design, integrated bracelet and distinctive octagonal bezel.
The particular version worn by Longoria, featuring a black dial and yellow gold case, is believed to have been produced in extremely limited numbers, making it especially valuable on today’s booming second-hand luxury watch market.
A gourmet escape to the Var
Before appearing on the Cannes red carpet, the Desperate Housewives star also took time to leave the Croisette behind for a quieter moment in Provence.
Longoria travelled to the village of Lorgues in the Var to dine at Chez Bruno, the famous Michelin-starred restaurant renowned for its truffle cuisine and beloved by celebrities from around the world.
She later shared photos from the evening on Instagram simply captioned “South of France,” while the restaurant itself also posted images of her visit online.
The outing was a return to a place filled with personal memories for the actress, who previously visited Chez Bruno with her husband José Bastón in 2017 to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
A longtime love affair with France
A regular at the Cannes Film Festival since 2005, Eva Longoria has become one of the event’s most recognisable international figures over the years.
Beyond the glamour of Cannes, the actress has also developed a strong connection with France and its gastronomy.
She recently explored French regional cuisine in her documentary series Searching for France, introducing international audiences to French culinary traditions and vineyards across the country.
From luxury watches to truffle dinners, Eva Longoria once again brought a touch of Hollywood glamour to the French Riviera this week.
