Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has praised Álvaro Arbeloa, saying the former Liverpool player has done well to earn the confidence of the Real Madrid hierarchy.

Arbeloa, who has been in charge of Real’s academy since 2020, has now been promoted to head coach of the first team.
The appointment follows the departure of Xabi Alonso, with Real Madrid turning to Arbeloa as the next man to take charge at senior level.
