The Malcolm in the Middle star shared the news on social media, revealing that the couple had privately separated before deciding to divorce.
"After 10 beautiful years together, we've grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents," Muniz wrote.
The couple share a son, Mauz, who they say "remains the centre of our world", adding that they believe they are now "happier, stronger parents" because of the journey they have shared.
Muniz also paid tribute to Paige for supporting his career, saying she had put "her own dreams on hold" while he pursued his ambitions, including his return to professional motorsport. He added that the pair plan to continue working together on Muniz Racing.
The announcement was initially accompanied by a video of the family dancing together, but it was later deleted after attracting negative comments online.
The couple reposted the statement alongside a family photo instead.
Paige later defended the original post, writing that although divorce is difficult, they remain "two adults who know how to be on the same team" and criticised the online backlash that prompted its removal.
Muniz and Paige first met in 2016, became engaged in 2018 and eloped the following year before celebrating with a larger wedding in 2020.
They welcomed their son in 2021 and most recently appeared together as a family at the premiere of the Malcolm in the Middle revival earlier this year.
The actor concluded by asking for privacy as they begin the next chapter of their lives, saying they were moving forward with "gratitude" and focusing on their family.
