French actor and comedian Bruno Salomone, known for Fais pas ci, fais pas ça and Brice de Nice, has died aged 55 after a long illness.

Salomone was widely known to television audiences for his role as Denis Boulay in the hit family series Fais pas ci, fais pas ça, as well as for playing Igor d’Hossegor, the rival of Jean Dujardin’s character in the comedy film Brice de Nice.
From comedy troupe to television success
He began his career in the 1990s as part of the comedy troupe Nous Ç Nous, alongside Jean Dujardin and several other performers.
The group became popular with sketches that parodied boy bands and other cultural trends of the time.
Salomone later built a successful career across television, cinema and theatre, appearing in series such as Caméra Café and Kaamelott and taking roles in numerous French films.
He was also known for his voice work, including projects in animation and television.
