Grasse social services praised but urged to improve financial management
A regional audit has found Grasse's social services are performing well overall but says improvements are needed in financial management.
A report by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Regional Audit Chamber has found that the finances of Grasse’s local social services centre, the CCAS, are “generally satisfactory” - but improvements are needed.

The review, covering the period from 2020 to 2025, highlighted concerns over rising operating costs, increased reliance on funding from the town council, and the need for better financial monitoring.
The audit also raised questions over the town’s home nursing service, saying a budget surplus masked a gap between available funding and actual activity levels, at a time when the ageing population is increasing demand.
The CCAS, which supports older residents, young people and provides home nursing care, will face further changes as part of a national reform requiring closer integration with other home support services.
Grasse mayor Jérôme Viaud said action was already being taken, including improved financial cooperation with the town, a new social needs assessment and recruitment efforts to address staff shortages.
