Helen Mirren honoured with Golden Globes lifetime achievement award, Harrison Ford calls her ‘Bad ass’
Dame Helen Mirren has received the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes, celebrating her lifetime of achievements on screen.
Dame Helen Mirren, the Oscar-winning actress known for The Queen, has been awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at a special Golden Globes ceremony in Beverly Hills.

Presented by Harrison Ford, who praised her as a “bad ass” and “an undeniable screen presence,” Mirren became the 71st recipient of the prestigious career honour.
In her acceptance speech, the 80-year-old reflected on her life and career, describing the award as recognition of “a life lived, a life survived, a life enjoyed, a life sweated, and a life carried on.”
Alongside her Oscar, Mirren has won three Golden Globes for film and TV, as well as Emmy, SAG, BAFTA, and Tony Awards, and was made a dame in 2003 for her artistic achievements.
She joins a distinguished list of DeMille Award recipients, including Meryl Streep, Sidney Poitier, and Tom Hanks.
