Hernandez targets second gold at Winter Paralympics

Having already successfully defended her snowboard cross title, France’s Cécile Hernandez is aiming for a second gold medal at the Winter Paralympics this morning.

The French athlete will compete in the snowboard banked slalom, with the event scheduled for 08:00 GMT, or 09:00 CET.

Hernandez has already enjoyed a strong Games after retaining her snowboard cross title earlier in the competition.

France’s overall medal tally at the Paralympics has now reached 10.

Great Britain, meanwhile, currently has one medal — a silver — as the Games continue.
