She died on Friday at her home in Los Angeles following a brief illness, according to a statement from her agency.
O’Hara won widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Moira Rose in the hit comedy series Schitt’s Creek, earning both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
She also starred as Kevin McCallister’s mother in the Home Alone films and reprised her role as Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in 2024.
