Hot weather and storm risk forecast this week in the Alpes-Maritimes
Temperatures across the Alpes-Maritimes are expected to remain well above seasonal averages this week before thunderstorms develop later in the week.
The Alpes-Maritimes is set for another week of unusually hot weather, with temperatures expected to reach up to 35C inland before thunderstorms develop later in the week.

Along the coast, Nice is forecast to see highs of around 30C on Monday and Tuesday, while inland areas such as Saint-Martin-du-Var could climb to 34C or 35C by midweek.
Sunny conditions are expected to dominate early in the week, although forecasters warn that instability will increase from Wednesday onwards, bringing the risk of thunderstorms across northern and inland parts of the department.
By Friday and into the weekend, showers and storms could extend towards the coast, including Nice and Menton, while temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal averages.
