US computer company HP has announced plans to cut as many as six thousand jobs by 2028 as part of its strategy to expand its artificial intelligence technology.

The reductions could amount to around ten percent of the company’s global workforce.
The move comes amid rising worldwide demand for AI-enabled PCs and related devices, a market HP is aiming to strengthen its position in.
The company says the restructuring will support its investment in next-generation hardware as the shift towards AI-driven computing continues.
