Key dates and changes to know in France this March
March brings municipal elections, price rises, transport changes and national events across France.
Voters will head to the polls for the first round of municipal elections on March 15th, with a second round a week later where required.

From March 1st, tobacco prices are rising for hundreds of brands, vehicle registration fees are increasing in several regions, and hospital charges will go up, including the daily inpatient fee, which rises from €20 to €23.
A new €2 small parcel tax will also apply to goods under €150 imported from outside the EU, a move widely seen as targeting low-cost online retailers.
In transport, the long-running RoissyBus service between central Paris and Charles de Gaulle Airport comes to an end, while Air France is launching new flights between Paris and London Gatwick later in the month.
Meanwhile, France will mark International Women’s Day on March 8th with marches nationwide, the winter eviction truce ends on March 31st, and the clocks go forward in the early hours of March 29th.
