Kris Jenner has announced the death of her mother, Mary Jo "MJ" Campbell, at the age of 91, paying tribute to the family matriarch who became a beloved figure through the Kardashian-Jenner reality shows.
Mary Jo "MJ" Campbell, the mother of Kris Jenner and beloved matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family, has died at the age of 91.

Kris Jenner announced the news in an emotional tribute shared on social media, describing her mother as "the heart of our family" and thanking her for teaching generations of the family the importance of love, resilience and kindness.
"Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ," Jenner wrote.
"She taught us that family is everything. She showed us how to love unconditionally and how to find joy in the little moments."
No cause of death has been announced.
Known affectionately as MJ, Campbell became a familiar face to fans through her regular appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and, more recently, The Kardashians.
She developed her own following thanks to her humour, warmth and candid advice, often teasing her famous family about their lavish lifestyles.
Before becoming known to television audiences, Campbell founded the San Diego children's boutique Shannon & Co. in 1980.
Kim Kardashian has often credited her grandmother with giving her her first job and teaching her the work ethic that helped shape her business career.
MJ was the grandmother of Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and a great-grandmother to the family's growing number of children.
She had previously lost her younger daughter, Karen Houghton, who died in 2024.
The family celebrated MJ's 90th and 91st birthdays on The Kardashians, with Kris Jenner previously describing her mother as her "best friend."
During one episode, MJ said her greatest achievement in life was raising her two daughters.
Tributes have since poured in from across the family, with Kim Kardashian calling her grandmother "my best friend, my gossip buddy, my forever twin" and thanking her for the values she passed down through the generations.
