The continuation adapts Les Secrets de la femme de ménage, the second book in Freida McFadden’s series, promising new twists for the audience.

Sydney Sweeney, who stars as Millie, the titular housemaid, will return, also serving as executive producer.

Michele Morrone, known for his role as the gardener, is set to reprise his part.

However, Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, who played the wealthy couple Nina and Andrew Winchester, are not expected to return, as their story concluded in the first film.

Rebecca Sonnenshine, who wrote the original screenplay, is returning, while Paul Feig is expected to direct, though final confirmation is pending.

Feig expressed excitement over bringing the new story to life: “It’s wonderful to see audiences worldwide fall for La Femme de Ménage and the incredible work of our talented cast and crew. Freida McFadden’s continuation of Millie’s story allows us to share this next chapter with viewers.”

The first film was a commercial hit, with a production budget of $35 million and worldwide box office receipts exceeding $130 million as of January 2026.

Production for the sequel is slated to begin later this year, suggesting a likely release in 2027.

Fans can expect Millie to navigate challenges with another wealthy family, echoing the suspenseful scenarios that made the first film a thriller favorite.
