The announcement, made under the headline “The Story Continues”, does not reveal the length of the new agreement.
However, it underlines Ferrari’s commitment to Leclerc as the team seeks stability during a challenging period.
The 28-year-old joined Ferrari’s Driver Academy in 2016 and stepped up to the Formula One team in 2019 alongside Sebastian Vettel.
Since then, he has become one of the Scuderia’s leading figures, recording eight victories, 52 podium finishes and 27 pole positions in 175 race starts.
After the opening five races of the 2026 season, Leclerc sits third in the drivers’ standings behind Mercedes pair Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.
Speaking after the announcement, Leclerc said Ferrari had always been more than just a team to him.
He described the Scuderia as a “second family” and reaffirmed his determination to help bring a long-awaited world championship back to Maranello.
Ferrari has not won a Formula One title since 2008 and is still searching for its first race victory since the 2024 United States Grand Prix.
The contract renewal signals the team’s belief that Leclerc remains central to its future ambitions.
