Mipcom - American actor Patrick Dempsey will receive an “excellence award” for his career in television and cinema at Mipcom which opens today in Cannes. Seductive Dr. Shepherd of Gray's Anatomy series, the 53-year-old American actor recently featured in the latest Bridget Jones (Bridget Jones Baby).  Some 14,000 participants representing 110 countries are expected at this year’s Mipcom which runs until 17th October. Several new series will be previewed at the conference in the presence of production teams and professional in the industry.
