Sainte Devote is a young martyr who died in Corsica around 304 AD, before her body was carried by sea and brought ashore in Monaco.

The celebrations begin on Monday 26 January at 10.30am with the traditional Mass in the Monegasque language at Sainte Devote Church.

Later in the day, the celebrations continue with the procession of the relics at 6pm (starting at the Grand Prix Chicane), followed by Solemn Vespers at 7pm at Sainte Devote Church.

The evening ends with one of the most symbolic moments of the tradition: the burning of the boat at Quai Albert I, lit in the presence of the Sovereign Prince and the Princely Family, followed by a drone show over the Port.

On Tuesday 27 January at 10am, Monaco Cathedral will host a Pontifical Mass, presided over by Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, before a religious procession continues on the Rock.

The celebrations will close in the evening with a spiritual concert at 6.30pm at the Cathedral, featuring the Sartène Choir, joined by the Choir of the Papal Chapel of Assisi and musicians from the Rainier III Academy.
