Monaco is to hold a National Day of Mourning in a final farewell to its Minister of State - Monaco will tomorrow, Thursday 23rd January 2025, observe a National Day of Mourning to coincide with the funeral and final farewell to former Minister of State, Didier Guillaume. Flags are currently being flown at half-mast and will continue to do so throughout the day, as a sign of respect. Public services, businesses in the Principality and schools will remain open and operational. Residents and employees are encouraged to wear dark clothing as a sign of respect. The day will be an opportunity for the HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, his family and other officials as well as political personalities along with the people of the Principality, to come together and honour Dider Guillaume and his significant contributions to Monaco during his time as Minister of State.
