The initiative highlights the role of sport as a tool for peace, inclusion and dialogue, with the Principality once again playing an active part in the international campaign.

Launched in Monaco on 25 March by Peace and Sport founder Joël Bouzou, the campaign brought together Prince Albert II, government officials and local sporting figures.

It was followed by an event in New York at the United Nations, reinforcing its global reach.

Several local teams and athletes have also joined the movement.

Monaco United FC showed its support during a recent match, while AS Monaco Basket is set to dedicate an upcoming game to the campaign.

A number of Monegasque athletes, including Valentin Vacherot and Antoine Zeghdar, have also backed the initiative.

The lighting of the Prince’s Palace serves as a symbolic gesture, reflecting Monaco’s ongoing commitment to promoting peace through sport.
