Monaco Prince and Princess appoint new special adviser

A new special adviser has been appointed to support Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene. Florent Farge, a senior French civil servant with experience in regional administration and the Court of Auditors, took up the role on 1 June.

A new special adviser has been appointed to both Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, the Prince's Palace announced on Wednesday.

Florent Farge took up the role on 1 June. A graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Aix-en-Provence and holder of a master's degree in public procurement law, he has held a number of senior positions within France's territorial and state administrations.

His previous roles include chief of staff to the prefect of Tarn, sub-prefect of Calvi, and secretary-general of the prefecture of Lot-et-Garonne.

Most recently, he served as a magistrate at the French Court of Auditors.The Palace said his experience in public administration, project management and regional policy would support his new responsibilities alongside Monaco's princely couple.
