Monaco’s government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving mental health support following the third Mental Health Council meeting held at the Ministry of State.

The meeting reviewed progress on the “Psychological Balance and Wellbeing” plan, launched in 2022, which includes more than 50 measures focused on prevention, early diagnosis and support for mental health conditions and addiction.
Officials highlighted several developments, including new support resources for children with specific needs, early data from Monaco’s addiction treatment centre, and initiatives aimed at preventing suicidal behaviour.
The council also discussed projects addressing school anxiety and new supported housing solutions designed to promote independence and social integration.
The Mental Health Council is seen as a key body in coordinating Monaco’s approach to public health, with a continued focus on prevention and long-term support.
