Monaco to mark 82nd anniversary of Liberation with remembrance ceremony
Monaco will mark the 82nd anniversary of its Liberation with a remembrance ceremony at Monaco Cemetery on September 3.
Monaco will mark the 82nd anniversary of the Principality’s Liberation with a remembrance ceremony at Monaco Cemetery on Thursday, September 3.

Organised by Monaco City Hall, the ceremony will begin at 4pm and will honour those who played a role in the Liberation of the Principality.
The commemorative event will be followed by the laying of wreaths at the Monument to the Fallen, paying tribute to those who died during the conflict.
Wreaths will also be placed at the graves of René Borghini and Joseph Lajoux, two Monegasque heroes of the Resistance.
The ceremony will offer a moment of reflection and remembrance, bringing together officials and members of the community to honour those who contributed to Monaco’s Liberation and preserve the memory of this important chapter in the Principality’s history.
