The technology, called Seadamp and developed by Italian company Seares, uses a hydraulic damping system to absorb wave energy before it reaches mooring lines.

The system can reduce peak stress on lines by up to 90% and significantly limit boat and pontoon movement.

Sensors inside the devices monitor tension in the mooring lines and send data to a central system, issuing warnings if strain becomes too high.

The units also generate their own electricity from water movement.

The installation is part of the club’s “Capital of Advanced Yachting” initiative, aimed at making marina operations more innovative and sustainable.
