The meetings took place during the Parliamentary Assembly’s autumn session and formed part of Monaco’s six-month Presidency, which began on 15 May and runs until 10 November, when Montenegro will take over.

Berro-Amadeï also addressed the Parliamentary Assembly on Wednesday, presenting an assessment of the Committee of Ministers’ work since the previous session and outlining progress made during Monaco’s Presidency.

Among the issues highlighted during the Principality’s term have been the protection of vulnerable people, women and children, as well as efforts to strengthen the Council of Europe’s response to contemporary challenges.

Support for Ukraine has also remained a key part of the Committee of Ministers’ work, alongside efforts relating to accountability and compensation following the war.

Earlier in September, Monaco hosted the 1567th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies at the Oceanographic Museum.

The meeting included discussions on current political affairs, the environmental crisis and human rights, as well as the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
