They join Stan Wawrinka and Matteo Berrettini in the main draw of the tournament, which runs from 4 to 12 April at the Monte-Carlo Country Club.

For Monfils, the appearance is set to be particularly significant, as the 39-year-old has confirmed 2026 will be his final season on tour.

A former world number six and winner of 13 ATP titles, he reached the Monte-Carlo final in 2016, where he was beaten by Rafael Nadal.

His inclusion forms part of a farewell tour for one of the sport’s most popular and entertaining figures.

In contrast, 17-year-old Kouamé represents the next generation.

He has already made headlines this season, becoming the first player born in 2009 to reach a Challenger semi-final and recording his first Masters 1000 match win in Miami.

His appearance in Monaco will mark his debut in the main draw of a clay-court Masters event.

The draw for the 119th edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place this Friday 3rd April.
