Morocco, South Africa and Egypt advance to AFCON knockout stage
Morocco and South Africa have secured places in the Africa Cup of Nations knockout stage, joining group winners Egypt.

Host nation Morocco have qualified for the knockout stage of the Africa Cup of Nations after a convincing 3–0 victory over Zambia.

The win ensured Morocco’s progression from the group stage as they continue their tournament on home soil.
South Africa also booked their place in the next round with a 3–2 win against Zimbabwe.
The result was enough to see them advance alongside Morocco.
They join Group B winners Egypt, who had already secured qualification before their final group match.
Egypt drew 0–0 with Angola, resting captain Mohamed Salah for the fixture after confirming top spot in the group.
