Nice activates emergency support for families stranded in middle east

The city of Nice has launched a dedicated support unit to assist around 250 local families affected by escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The city of Nice has set up a dedicated support unit to assist local families stranded in the Middle East as tensions escalate in the region.

Mayor Christian Estrosi confirmed that around 250 families have already been contacted, with the city working alongside national authorities and Nice Airport to provide assistance.

Several flights between Nice and hubs such as Dubai and Doha have been cancelled amid the ongoing conflict.

An emergency WhatsApp number has been launched for affected residents and their relatives, as officials urge those concerned to come forward with their details.
