More than 60 wooden chalets will once again line Place Masséna and the Jardin Albert-Ier, offering Christmas treats, crafts and regional specialities.

The Christmas Village will also see the return of its traditional attractions, including the panoramic Ferris wheel, food stalls, children’s rides and a programme of regular family-friendly entertainment.

A charity evening on the Ferris wheel in support of the Téléthon is scheduled for 5 December from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., adding a philanthropic touch to the festivities.

Meanwhile, neighbourhoods and cultural venues across the city will host their own seasonal activities throughout the period.

The official switch-on of the Christmas lights takes place this evening, unveiling more than 1,000 LED decorations, 200 km of garlands, 54 seven-metre Christmas trees and the city’s iconic eight-metre-tall Father Christmas near Lenval hospital.

A laser show will illuminate the façades of Place Masséna to mark the launch.

Entry to the Christmas Village is free, with opening hours varying depending on the day.

Special schedules will apply on 24, 25 and 31 December as well as 1 January.

Full details and practical information are available on the city’s website.
