Night duty police planning to sound sirens in front of Prefecture tonight in Nice in protest - On the sidelines of today’s nationwide strike, the national secretary of the Union SGP FO Yves Lefebvre has called on those officers on night duty to congregate in front of Prefectures across France tonight and release their sirens. Dubbed a “A minute of noise” in Nice, those on night duty in are reportedly planning to gather in front of the Prefecture and participate in the movement as part of the protest against the pension reform and the demands of a bonus for night time officers which would allow officers to integrate bonus months and therefore be able to retire earlier.
