OGC Nice unveils special shirt in tribute to victims of 2016 attack
OGC Nice has unveiled a special third shirt paying tribute to the 86 victims of the 14 July 2016 terrorist attack on the Promenade des Anglais.
The gold-coloured kit, created with Kappa to mark the 10th anniversary of the attack, will be worn for the first time when OGC Nice face Le Mans at the Allianz Riviera on Saturday 5 September.

The shirt features 86 stars, arranged across the front to follow the curve of Nice’s Baie des Anges.
Its gold colour was inspired by the light used during commemorations, including the 86 beams projected into the sky above the Promenade des Anglais.
It also reflects the thousands of phone lights traditionally raised by supporters at the Allianz Riviera during the 86th minute of matches in memory of those who lost their lives.
Another symbol incorporated into the design is the “Heart of the Victims”, formed from the names of the 86 people killed in the attack.
The emblem has remained closely associated with the club and also features on OGC Nice shirts and captains’ armbands this season.
The date 14 July 2016 appears beneath the collar on the back.
Saturday’s match will also see supporters return to the Allianz Riviera and come together for a commemoration ahead of kick-off against Le Mans.
Following the game, the shirts worn by the OGC Nice players will be auctioned online, with proceeds donated to victims’ associations.
