Skies are expected to stay largely clear throughout the day, while strengthening afternoon winds could produce gusts of up to 45 km/h, particularly along the coast between Fréjus and Hyères and in inland areas including Rians, Salernes and Puget-Ville.

The highest temperatures are forecast in western Var, including Rians and Saint-Zacharie, reaching around 7°C above the seasonal average.

Coastal areas will be slightly cooler, with highs of 31–33°C, including around 32°C in Toulon.

The orange heatwave alert is expected to remain in place until at least Thursday as authorities continue to monitor the prolonged spell of extreme heat.
